Leon County Mental Health Court

Apalachee Center is a partner in the Criminal Justice, Mental Health and Substance Abuse Reinvestment Advisory Council to the Board of County Commissioners of Leon County. This advisory board, in partnership with local service providers, Leon County Court System and the Leon County Commission wrote, was awarded and has implemented a grant that made possible the Leon County Mental Health Court.

Apalachee Center provides to this court the personnel that staff two key positions for this grant. The positions are the Mental Health Court Case Manager and the Mental Health Pre-Trial Release Specialist.

Apalachee Center's Community Forensic Team provides case management services to defendants involved in this court at Leon County jail, in court and in the community.
