The Homeless Project

The Apalachee Center, Inc. Homeless Project is an outpatient Mental Health treatment program providing services to individuals who are homeless, have no insurance, and have a major mental illness. The purpose of the Homeless Project is to provide assessment of their clinical condition, provide supportive services, and to concentrate on stabilizing each person's level of functioning.

The Homeless Project provides Case Management Services, Psychiatric Services and supportive services through a Federal Grant which employs a Program Supervisor, two case managers, Psychiatrist/ARNP and secretary. Operation hours are 8am-5pm Monday thru Friday. Our program allows participants to achieve their self-defined goals by providing therapeutic services.

Some examples of services provided are assistance with filing disability applications, vocational services, substances abuse services, networking with community housing services and transportation services.

The goal of the Homeless Project is a simple one, we want to help people. From a warm cup of coffee on a cold morning up through Case Management services, we try to make this goal the cornerstone of all we do. Drop-in, allow us to assist you to recover.
