Forensic Services

Forensic Programs are for individuals who have both emotional disturbances and legal involvement are also available through Apalachee Center, Inc. Individuals in these programs are ordered by the Court to participate in these high-supervised, secure, therapeutic residential programs (Leon and Gadsden counties). Many of these individuals have been involved with the mental health system and the legal system for years. Apalachee Center, Inc. makes a difference by assisting these individuals to manage their emotional disturbance. They can then help in their own legal defense so they can go on to lead lives that have purpose.

Melanie Mediate, LPN Hilltop Supervisor I would like to offer a warm welcome on behalf of the Hilltop Residential Services staff. Staff at Hilltop, the empowerment of lives is emphasized in a supportive, caring environment. Residents are encouraged to actively participate in their recovery plan and open communication between the staff and resident is encouraged. Our goal is to provide an avenue to more independence for the resident through individualized care.
